So many of us get wrapped up in improving our lives looking at where we are, what we have accomplished from the perspective of YOURSELF.
The challenge with that is we ignore so much around us that really motivates what we do everyday.
Think about it, how much of your day is directed by interacting or helping people around you…
- Your spouse or partner
- Your parents
- Your co-workers
- Your manager
- Your friends
- Your church and community
At the end of the day we will typically do much more for those around us than we will do for ourselves.
Why?
We are social beings, we need to establish our place in the world, we need to be recognized, and we need to be loved…fundamental needs that drive our behavior subconsciously – without even realizing it.
So, when it comes to improving ourselves through taking time to…
- Plan
- Meditate
- Get healthy – workout
- Get the proper sleep
- Stay disciplined on learning new skills
- Taking some time each day to reflect and stay in-tune with our mind
We won’t be motivated enough if the only goals you have set for self improvement are personal…we need something much BIGGER to really be effective in staying motivated and making massive change in our lives a reality
ARE YOU A GREAT EXAMPLE?
There is no better motivator for making change in your life than being a great example, support system and catalyst to growth for the most important people in your life.
If you are stuck in your life, can’t get off the couch, only play video games and have trouble financially…what kind of message is that sending to your kids…your friends…your family?
Those people that are able to accomplish amazing things in their lives work HARD at making it happen.
There is no chance in living a better, more fulfilling and rich life, it takes a willingness to change massively (move across the country, stop bad habits, double down for 1-2 months until new habits are formed to replace old ones…) In fact, the plan is right here…this is the exact plan that hundreds of others have used in the last few months to dramatically change their lives, get unstuck and finally realize the true potential they have had within them all along.
The issue is not knowing WHAT to do, it is having the right reasons to be able to break out of your bad habits and break into new, positive and aligned habits – the first few months is all it takes, but it takes ALL you can give in the first few months which is why most people never get there.
It doesn’t matter what your goals are…
- Losing weight and becoming healthier
- Leaving behind bad habits such as anger, addictions or shyness
- Being better around others
- Attracting more positive people into your life
- Being able to make a positive change for the better
- Get yourself and your family out of debt and into much brighter future
- Leaving behind the darkness and negativity under which you currently live toward a freedom of being happy and positive
- Re-inventing your knowledge and skills so you have more opportunities in today’s competitive job and business environment
- Becoming someone who others look up to, want to follow and emulate instead of being a weight on other’s shoulders
- Inspiring your kids so they have an amazing future and opportunity ahead of them
- Overcome debilitating emotional or physical illness
Whatever your desire is to improve in life can be dramatically reinforced by looking at how many significant people can be touched and made better by your simple choice to take action over the next 60-90 days.
Over and over again it has been proven that breaking old (even decades-old) habits replacing them with new, constructive, positive habits can be done in 60-90 days.
I’m not saying it is easy, but if you look at in light of the difference you can make toward your family, friends, and society in general as well as the personal satisfaction and fulfillment you get from being a better person it stacks the deck in your favor making the 60-90 day commitment much easier to get through.
What about you?
Are you a GREAT example today for your kids, friends, parents and community?
If not, what would it mean to you and to them if you were to commit to improvement in 2016…what would it mean to YOU if you could improve their lives and when you set a shining example to light there way changing dozens to hundreds of lives (which cascades to thousands of hundreds of thousands as they pick up on your great example).
If you want to change how 2015 ends and 2016 starts, really change the outcome of next year despite all of the times you have “thought” this in the past, then think about much more than yourself. Grasp the motivation and warmth that comes from knowing you will be committing to change for everyone around you that you love and who will, in-turn, love you.
